AppStore blocked: Solutions for iOS users to get VPN access

The government through the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has requested all major telecom companies to block access to the iOS AppStore, Google PlayStore, and YouTube. This comes at a time when the country prepares to go into elections on the 14th of January.

Android users have the apk system that allows them to download and sideload applications on their phones. Apple users don’t have this option, so let’s give iOS users some solutions.

Android HotSpot or WiFi

Get a friend using an Android phone with VPN already installed to share their internet with you and while at it, download a VPN on your phone and you will be good to go. You can also use any other secure WiFi connection.
