    Gaming performance

The Helio G100 is designed to deliver a premium gaming experience on affordable smartphones. It includes MediaTek HyperEngine technology, which features a Rapid Response Engine for fast frame rates, a Resource Management Engine for efficient resource allocation, a Picture Quality Engine for brilliant visuals, and a Networking Engine for seamless connectivity and audio.

These enhancements ensure consistently fast frame rates, vivid in-game visuals, and seamless audio and internet connectivity, all while maximizing battery life. The SoC also supports FHD+ displays with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and responsive gaming experience.

    Power efficiency and battery life

The Helio G100 is fabricated on TSMC’s advanced 6nm (N6) chip production process, which enhances power efficiency and increases battery life. The SoC’s octa-core CPU consists of two ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2.0GHz. This combination of high-performance and power-efficient cores ensures a balance between performance and battery life.

    Premium features and AI performance

Despite being designed for affordable smartphones, the Helio G100 offers premium features typically found in higher-end SoCs. It supports LPDDR4X memory, UFS 2.2 storage, and includes an AI processing unit (APU) for industry-leading AI performance.

The SoC also features a 4G Elevator Mode, which allows the cellular modem to re-establish a connection quickly from places without coverage, such as tunnels and elevators. This ensures seamless connectivity and uninterrupted user experiences.

    Devices employing the Helio G100

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro was the first smartphone to feature the Helio G100 SoC. As the chipset is relatively new, the list of other devices employing it is currently limited. However, more smartphones are expected to launch with the Helio G100 in the near future, as it offers a compelling combination of features for the budget 4G smartphone market.
