People hacking individuals’ or government agency profiles is not new and the latest hack is of the Ugandan Parliament Twitter account. The Director, of Communication and Public Affairs ChrisObore1 regarding the Parliament’s official Twitter account, said;
On behalf of Parliament and the Department of Communication and Public Affairs, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this incident.

The Parliament’s Twitter account was hacked by unknown persons and the despite the best efforts of their IT teams, they were not able to recover it. Mr. Obore said in a letter posted today that they were able to recover the user name and have created a new account to ensure that they continue providing updates and engaging with their followers as they have always done.
The letter published today on their new account says that “We assure the public that we are taking all necessary steps to ensure that such incidents do not occur In the future. We urge you to follow our new account, @Parliament_Ug for plenary updates and official communication from Parliament.”
In order to identify the new account, you can identify it by its verified great badge that shows it’s a government organization.
