Airtel Uganda has today re-affirmed their partnership with Transtel Uganda to provide eSIM-enabled devices in Uganda which are available in the Transtel shops in Uganda. Transtel is the official authorized distributor of genuine, high-quality Samsung, Bosch, Skyworth, Apple, and Titan smartphones in Uganda.

eSIMs are embedded SIM cards that are built into a device, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card. This makes it easier to switch carriers, as you can simply download a new eSIM profile from the carrier’s website or app. eSIMs are also more durable than physical SIM cards, as they are less likely to be damaged if your device is dropped or wet.
Airtel Uganda is the first telecom company in Uganda to offer eSIMs. The company has said that it is committed to providing its customers with the latest technology and that eSIMs are a key part of this commitment.

The eSIM-enabled models include Samsung Galaxy S23, Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 plus, iPhone Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max, and use them while paying installments. Currently, eSIMs are available at all Airtel shops in Uganda and customers can access them with their valid national IDs.
