Beyond just taking the ride, you can also buy airtime for your phone, or even your friends using your SafeBoda cashless. It is just a few steps that require you to tap the airtime icon on the home screen; enter recipient’s mobile number; Select amount to pay; Enter and confirm with your Cashless PIN.
This is an interesting innovation because sometimes the SafeBoda guy might sometimes fail to call you after being matched to him – probably due to the lack of airtime – and it is here that you can buy yourself the credit and go ahead with a call to find out how far he is.
Make deliveries
The other addition to the SafeBoda app is the ability to send packages and parcels to various destinations without having to go along. The beauty about this is that you can even take a SafeBoda ride to another place as your package is enroute to its destination as well.
To make a delivery, Open your SafeBoda app, and tap the Send icon on the home screen. Thereafter, enter the delivery destination and the following details including the recipient’s contact and the package to be delivered. Then enter the pick up location your contact or the sender if it is not you.
Share SafeBoda credit with your friends
If you have enough SafeBoda cashless credit on you, and your friends have so little to accommodate a ride, you can share with them.
You just have to open your app, tap the Share icon on the Home screen, select beneficiary from your contacts or enter the number, and then enter amount of cashless to share. You should then confirm the transaction with your PIN, and the cashless will be transferred instantly to the recipient.

Sometimes the lack of cashless credit on your SafeBoda app wallet does mean incurring an extra cost since the cashless rides come with discounts. Before taking a ride on which you will have to pay cash, it is always good to see the price estimates before the ride to know exactly how much you will cash out.
