The telecommunications industry in Uganda is experiencing significant growth, driven by the increasing demand for fast and reliable internet access. The UCC market report for June 2023 FY 4Q 2022/23 highlights the proliferation of smartphones as the driving force behind internet adoption in the country. It states that smartphones accounted for 99% of new connections across mobile phones and other mobile internet devices. Additionally, the report reveals a 7 million increase in mobile internet subscriptions, reaching 12.5 million in June 2023.

Airtel Uganda’s Data Usage Manager addresses this need by offering transparency and empowering customers to make informed decisions about their data purchases.
